Frequently Asked
Everything we've been asked enough times to write down. If your question isn't here, write to hello@houseofsissendi.com.
Orders & Shipping
How long does shipping take?+
Most pieces ship in 3–5 business days from our Lucknow studio. Hand-embroidered cushions and made-to-order panels may take up to 14 days. Free shipping is included on every order above ₹3,500.
Do you ship internationally?+
Yes. International shipping is supported to most countries via DHL or FedEx. Customs and import duties are the buyer's responsibility — we provide all required HSN codes on the shipping invoice.
Can I track my order?+
Once dispatched, you receive a tracking link by email and on WhatsApp. Indian shipments use Shiprocket; international shipments use DHL or FedEx tracking.
Returns & Exchanges
What is your return policy?+
Unused pieces in their original packaging may be returned within 7 days of delivery for a full refund. Pieces showing signs of use, wash, or installation cannot be returned. Made-to-order and bespoke commissions are non-returnable.
How do I initiate a return?+
Email hello@houseofsissendi.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and reason for return. We'll arrange pickup via our courier partner — there is no return fee on our side.
Gifting & Commissions
Can I add a gift message?+
Yes — most pieces are gift-eligible. Tick "Make it a gift" on the product page and add your message; we'll include it on a hand-pressed card with the package. Gift wrapping is included free.
Do you do bespoke commissions?+
For weddings, milestones, or signature interiors, we do limited bespoke work — custom embroidery, dimensions, or palettes. Reach out at gifting@houseofsissendi.com with your brief and timeline.
Do you offer corporate gifting?+
We do, with tiered programmes from 10 to 500 pieces. See our Corporate Gifting page or write to us directly.
Care & Materials
How do I care for embroidered silk pieces?+
Always dry-clean — never machine-wash or hand-wash. Store in muslin pouches between uses, away from direct sunlight. Avoid contact with water and oil.
How do I care for wooden tableware?+
Wipe with a dry cloth after use. Avoid prolonged contact with water; do not put in dishwasher. A light coat of food-safe wood oil twice a year keeps the grain alive.
